I did not abandon you.

Hello? Hello?

Is this thing still on? <cough, cough… microphone squeal>

Holy cow has life been busy!

Last Wednesday I helped chaperon the Fine Arts trip to Chicago. I was in charge of NINE teenagers (only one of which belonged to me) while we shopped Water Tower Place and ate lunch,  watched the Broadway production of The Lion King, and ate dinner at The Rain Forest Cafe. What a fabulous day! The kids were well behaved. We had a good time shopping and laughing together. The Lion King… I can not say enough good things about this show. Visually stunning! Superbly acted! Heart wrenching, inspiring, amazing! The Rain Forest Cafe, although very expensive, was good. Of course Princess Girl was first in line to get her picture taken with the monkey and frog wandering through the restaurant.

Thursday, Princess Girl had the day off for Veteran’s Day. She spent all day at musical rehearsal. I spent the day raking/blowing leaves and getting my oil changed. Busy!

Friday was school, work, and a trivia night. And J had to deliver a car to Indy and did not get home until midnight. A long day!

Saturday… I got a new car! I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Ford Fusion. It is very fun and very smart. Cars have come a long way in just a few years. At this point Princess Girl is carless. We will have to wait and see what her birthday brings in just 37 short days!

I am still writing on the story that I started on November 1 for NaNo, but I have made the decision not to attempt NaNo this year. There is simply too much going on in my life that I do not want to take time away from by cranking out 50,000 words in 30 days.

Overall, I am happy. Very happy. Good things are happening in my green world!
